On the eve of the of the 2017/2018 Victorian Summer Baseball League season, Viva Global is excited to announce its new partnership with Newport Baseball Club in Victoria.

This partnership will see Viva being the official apparel supplier for the next three years.

Newport Baseball Club was established in 1928 and currently participates in the VSBL Division 1 competition.

Newport focuses heavily on being a family oriented club and this culture has seen the club grow over the coming years with a strong senior program and over 160 junior members.

Newport has had a very successful off season, with club stalwart, David Asp being named club coach, a number of new signings and the construction of their new indoor training facility which will be the envy of all baseball clubs.

As part of our partnership with Newport Rams Baseball Club, each month a junior player will be awarded the Viva Inspired Performance award. The award recognises players who have shown an inspired performance, not necessarily awarded to the best player, but the player that inspires at training, games, around the club and displays good sporting behaviour. Coaches will nominate a player who delivers an inspired performance and the eventual winner will receive a Viva Inspired Sports Pack.
