Diamond Valley Basketball Association

Viva Global  is excited to announce a new partnership with Diamond Valley Basketball Association (DVBA).

This partnership will see Viva Global supplying DVBA with a new suite of apparel and merchandise over the next three (3) years.

The DVBA is a member body of Basketball Victoria and Basketball Australia and manages basketball in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

DVBA has around 6,000 members that participate in weekly competitions, with 3,700 junior players from 20 clubs. From these participants, the DVBA selects 45 representative teams that participate in Basketball Victoria’s VJBL and Big V competitions.

It is exciting times for the DVBA with the recent announcement that they have been granted admission to join the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) for the upcoming season in 2018. The SEABL is a semi professional league which is arguably the highest level of senior basketball competition that can be played in the winter months in Australia and is often referred to as the underpinning league to the WNBL and NBL.

“Entering the South East Australian Basketball League in 2018 offers a great opportunity for all junior basketball players living in the North of Melbourne. It provides families living in the region a short trip from home to come to Diamond Valley to watch top class basketball. Partnering with Viva Global will add to the professionalism we will present. Both SEABL teams will definitely look the part when they are stepping out as will all Eagles teams and supporters,” said Diamond Valley’s CEO, Ross Wignell.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the Diamond Valley Basketball Association,” said Viva Global Sales Manager Ashley Blair.

“It’s an exciting period for Diamond Valley with their entry to the SEABL and we are looking forward to assisting them on this journey”.

“A key strategy for Viva is to grow our brand on the east coast of Australia as well as to continue to grow our market share in the basketball market on the back of our partnership with Basketball SA.  Diamond Valley provides us with the platform to not only showcase our great basketball range and apparel to the basketball community.”

The Diamond Valley Eagles will join the other SEABL clubs – Albury, Ballarat, Bendigo, Canberra, COE, Dandenong, Frankston, Geelong, Hobart, Kilsyth, Launceston, Melbourne, Mount Gambier, North West Tasmania, Nunawading, Sandringham and Sydney to compete across south-east Australia. The SEABL season tips off in April 2018.
